Australia Investigates Apparent Hacking of National Parliament’s Computers

The Australian government is investigating the obvious hacking of the national parliament’s pc network, senior lawmakers said Friday, but there was no evidence that any facts had been accessed or stolen.

Tony Smith, the speaker of Australia’s decrease House of Representatives, and Scott Ryan, president of the upper house Senate, said all lawmakers were advised to reset their passwords as a precaution.

“We have no proof that that is an try to persuade the final results of parliamentary procedures or to disrupt or have an effect on electoral or political processes,” they stated in a joint assertion.

“Accurate attribution of a cyber incident takes time and investigations are being undertaken alongside the relevant protection businesses,” they said.

It was also too early to tell who could have been behind the apparent attack, the declaration said.
